These faces. Who couldn’t love them?

Moving Along… Slowly but Surely

So, when I want to go off on a rant, instead of posting here, I head to Facebook.

Here are some of the recent things I’ve posted:

The Battling Christian is a guy, a great guy, a christian guy, a pastor, a leader, an avid study-er of the Word and he likes guys. BUT he loves his God more and writes about his struggles. If I knew him, I would give him a big hug and tell him I loved him.

Someone needs to carve me up a pumpkin with this on it. Please and thank you. Pinterest is also the devils playground, and by that I mean an awful timewaster but fun to participate in.

This is amusing, but not so much. In this sex saturated world we live in this does not help. Nor does it help girls growing up or the girls whose mothers let them dress like this.

15 Things Wives Should Stop Doing….and I do every single damn one of them. Such a sinner I am. 😦

This makes me sad. An actual church service. It is terrible that the church feels it must ‘entertain’ seeker-sensitive people to get them into church. to worship God. The God that saves them. The God that delivers them. Shouldn’t that be exciting enough?

Currently working on a new set of dreads. I don’t know if I can commit to 2 years of the same hairstyle. Never have before. But we shall see.

Work is great, loving my job, walking 3 sets of dogs a day with random dog and cat feedings on the weekends. Just enough to keep me out of trouble.

I have a friend on FB that is posting mean-spirited things about presidential candidates. Mind you, there is more than one, but this one isn’t usually like this. We got into a bit of a conversation about freedom of speech and how the words they were using were not kind and loving and Christ-like, but in the end:

This little bugger WAS going up for adoption, but look at those ears! We are freaking in love with this JoeJoe Yakama Pasquan:

I took him from the rez because he had no name, no owners, no food or water and got picked on by the bigger dogs.

By the way, the missions trip was by far the most wonderful thing to happen in a very long time. Happiest I have been in about 5 years. Will post about it later.

Last but not least, I posted this on FB and got quite a few ‘likes’ on the post, but no [discussion] comments:

Which i am surprised and saddened by that, because this is the truth:

OK, I think that’s enough spouting off today, will try to get back into the swing of this blogging thing

Musings on Isaiah 40:12

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,

or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?

Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket,

or weighed the mountains on the scales

and the hills in a balance?

From Isaiah 40:12

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:28-31

Blessings on your day!

This always gets my goat, don’t know why, I think because my mom had one and she sets it out with all her other Santa’s, sort of a “Phew, I’m covered, the Christians can’t attack me, I got baby Jesus in the mix” .
You can find it at the Catholic Supply store

Check out the caption:
There is no greater joy than watching a baby’s face at his or her first Christmas. The excitement and happiness parents feel are contagious and surely their child is not immune to the love surrounding this holy holiday. It is only fitting then, that the gentle gift bringer, Santa, comes to visit the greatest Bringer of hope, love and peace: the little Baby Jesus. As the Baby’s face lights upon seeing Santa’s gift, a cuddly teddy bear complete with big red bow, his hand reaches up to accept the precious gift. Santa’s eyes glisten as he sees the sweetness and beauty of the Baby Jesus, who, though nestled in His humble bed of straw, bears all the dignity and power of a King.

Well, we made it thru the surgery and the allergy testing.

The boy: is pretty much allergic to…. Everything outside. Everything. It’s time for the bubble. We were joking about at the dr. office, then the doc was giving him his options for treatment and the last one. A bubble.

Do any of you remember the movie Bubble Boy?

Son will be getting shots for a few years, twice a week to begin with.

The dog: She came thru surgery fine, 3 inch scar, still on pain meds., hopefully will hear the outcome by Tuesday. The vet who operated on her, has a golden who had 2 tumors so she was pretty knowledgeable on whole thing and she was much calmer than the first vet I saw.

The downstairs is being ripped apart and I’m just stressed out. I really don’t like my schedule getting changed. All you OCD and bi-polar people can relate.

The Weekly Reflection

On the vegetarian front:

The Good: Roasted Chickpeas with olive oil and garlic salt. I ate a whole can on Wednesday.

Soy sour cream with onion soup mix. Yummy on Triscuits.

Barilla Plus with protein, fiber, omega-3 Here

The Bad:

Hummus 😦

Tofu hot-dogs

Everything soy or tofu has a mushy consistency. Even when I fry it. Help, anyone?

Anna Bella is gonna be an actor, she will be in the youth Christmas play at our church. She will play the part of: lamb 1.

You can elf yourself, HERE  Hubby did it, but I’m not gonna show you because instead of my face he used Marilyn Monroe.

Have you ever had the feeling of something just being off?

Like things are going on around you and you are not supposed to know about it?

I wonder if this is  ‘living in a fishbowl’ feeling?

woh, woh, woh feelings….

Lately I have been so busy inserting my foot in my mouth then trying to pry it loose just to slam it back up in the big gaping pie hole once again. *sigh*

Maybe I’m just lonely. I don’t talk to many people. No outside employment, hubby and boy really don’t like conversations (it’s a guy thing) At church I try to keep my mouth shut, emphasis on TRY, backed out of a few volunteer things at the church cuz I thought I was doing too much.

I find that my whole center revolves around church and after the church split my faith in fellow christian brethren as friends was shattered. I don’t have many friends other than at church.

When I do get into a conversation with another, I just ramble, ramble, ramble. I’m sure they probably think I’m a nut case.

Yesterday was pretty harsh, harsh is a relative term here, since there are far harsh-er things happening to others all over.

But our chest freezer downstairs ‘got unplugged’ for the second time in the last 6 months. We have had 100$ of dollars worth of food ruined. Wasted. I hate so much to waste food. I cried. and I ate a whole bag of Cheetos.

Guess this is someone telling the boys they need to go vegetarian!?!? Ha ha, like that will happen. But they will be eating meatless dinners until we can afford to go to the big warehouse store and get more. And I might just take my own sweet time getting there.

We watched the Nativity Story again last night. I love this movie. I don’t care if its not ‘scripturally sound’ I love it. I wrote a post about here, and my sentiments are still the same:

WE saw The Nativity Story this holiday season.  The part that struck a chord in my heart was when the angel told Mary she was to bring forth a child named Jesus and when the angel of the Lord told Joseph, Do not be afraid, for what is happening to Mary is God’s will (my paraphrase, of course)It hit me, they both knew and they were the only ones who knew the baby Mary was carrying was something special, for all the nations, was from God. Can you imagine, no one in the world was for them, she could of been stoned and they together knew. They had this secret, this crazy charge God had given them.
That knowledge had to help form a bond between them knowing they had to cling together for encouragment and love and support.
Could they have really known the impact early on? Did they just obey their God that easy? It’s pretty amazing to me.

Compare this: God literally tells Mary and Joseph to have this baby that He will be special and they obey. Today: millions of women knowingly kill their unborn children, not ever getting to know how special their child could have been…Lord, Undo Me, put away my flesh and bone!

James 1:19-27 – 19 {This}  you  know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow  to speak {and} slow  to anger; 20 for the  anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and {all} that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. 22 But  prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

I love this post by Kevin, it’s been too long since he has posted a serious thought-provoking and great read. (Wait, is it April Fools Day?)

That is a wrap, blessings, Kristina

Ponder on this for while, then leave a comment:

Deut 19:15 One witness is not enough to convict a man accused of any crime or offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

16 If a malicious witness takes the stand to accuse a man of a crime, 17 the two men involved in the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD before the priests and the judges who are in office at the time. 18 The judges must make a thorough investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against his brother, 19 then do to him as he intended to do to his brother. You must purge the evil from among you. 20 The rest of the people will hear of this and be afraid, and never again will such an evil thing be done among you. 21 Show no pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
