The Homosexuals Think They Got It Bad, Check Out the Drunkards!

1 Corinthians 5:11-13

New International Version (NIV)

11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

New International Version (NIV)

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Galatians 5:19-21

New International Version (NIV)

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Matthew 24:48-51

New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)

48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

[analogy of the master as Christ/God and servants as his followers and when Jesus comes back, He will send them to hell]

The church and Heaven obviously doesn’t want drunkards either!

Now that I have had my little fun, I bring to your attention some scripture that talks about drunkenness. Those who live like that will not inherit the kingdom of heaven nor are to hung out with or even let into church!

Where is the line of being a persistent drunkard and being saved by grace but struggling with being a drunkard?

Where is the line of being a homosexual and being saved but struggling [or not] with being a homosexual?

And who draws that line? The answer should be God, but we make those judgement calls all the time.

Do you think these verses are being too harsh? Where is the God of love, HE IS SO MEAN!!!!

God is serious about what He says and He will be serious about what He does when Christ comes back.

Don’t say you were not forewarned….
