Romans 8 ~ Unanswerable Questions?

Standard

I typed up the below a few days ago, but today as I sat at bible study I was thinking:

What, in my life, shall separate me from the love of Christ?

Will Anna Bella’s cancer fight?

Will trips away from the safety and comfort of my home?

Will construction and breakage of my home?

Will son’s allergies and shot schedule?

Will my health related and mental health related issues?

Nope, none of these will separate me from my Lord.

Will I get thru these things? Yes, with the Lord’s help and strength.

Do any of these things matter in the big picture of my life and my eternal place with Christ?

Yes and no.

No, because they are just a season to get thru. They are temporary and of this world. No, because I am never separated from Him and what else is there?

Yes, because I am called to endure all things and cling to God to help me get thru all these things.

PS: Anna Bella is scheduled for an ultrasound next Tuesday. I found another lump on her last night.

This weekend we are heading to a youth snow camp retreat with 6 kids from church. Out of my comfort zone, to say the least.

Pray for me 🙂

Romans 8: 31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

Lets try to answer these questions:

1. If God is for us, who can be against us?

2. He who did not spare His own son… how will he not also graciously give us all things?

3. Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?

4. Who is he that condemns? (when Christ is interceding for us)

5. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

Our pastor thinks these are unanswerable questions.

I think they are answerable, but the answer is always…..

Check back for the answer…..

Until then, give it a shot, leave a comment give an answer for your faith.
