This Video Really Effected Me

Standard

Saw this on Rindys Site, it made me cry, so I thought I would share it:

I fail so many times as a parent, I see my 14 year old do the same things I do and I shudder. I see him do or say things that were ‘cute’ when he was 2, but now are just outright rude and disrespectful. And I only have me to blame, and his father 🙂

Swearing is my worst, sarcasm is my hubbys worst.

 We, as parents have a serious charge to raise up our children in the way and knowledge of the Lord.

We fall short so many times, take heed at what God has given us in our children.

Love them, respect them, protect them.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Pr 1:8Hear, my son, your father‘s instruction And do not forsake your mother’s teaching;
Pr 3:12For whom the LORD loves He reproves, Even as a father {corrects} the son in whom he delights.
Pr 4:1
Hear, {O} sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding,
Pr 6:20My son, observe the commandment of your father And do not forsake the teaching of your mother;
Pr 10:1The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.
And Finally……
Ps 103:13
Just as a father has compassion on {his} children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
