When we got Anna from the Humane Society, she didn’t really act like a dog, didn’t fetch or play with toys or chew on anything. It’s like we had to teach her to do those things. She loves her bones now and carries them to whatever room we are in and plops herself down with it and chews.
See the stack of toys behind her? That’s the supply of stuffed animals she runs after and kills, we buy them at the thrift store and wash them, then let her tear into them until the stuffing is everywhere. She is neat and tidy, tho. She will pull the stuffing out, lay it aside and pull more out.
I went to the doctor today convinced I was having an appendicitis attack.
But it looks like it may be scar tissue problems. From when I got my uterus and ovaries ripped out a few years ago. I was hoping it was something easy like my appendix, then I could get it ripped out and be done with it.
Eh, I’m still hopeful. Maybe a trip to the emergency room will be in order.
My doctor gave me some knee exercises cuz my joints/tendons hurts. So do my elbows when I tricep press too much weight.
Maybe I’m just old.
I was looking through my last batch of thrift store bought bibles, it was a good batch by the way, and found this card with this ‘poem’ on it.
Thought I would share…
My Life is but a weaving
Between my God and me;
I may not choose the colors,
He knows what they should be
For He can view the rainbow
Upon the upper side,
While I can see it only
On this, the under side.
Sometimes He weaves sorrow,
Which seems strange to me;
But I will trust His judgment,
And work on faithfully;
At last, when life is ended,
With Him I shall abide,
then I may view the rainbow
Upon the upper side;
Then I shall know the reason
Why pain with joy entwined,
Was woven in the fabric
Of life that God designed.
Today the boy and hubby have the day off, so we are out looking for a kitchen table and chairs and maybe a computer.
I scored big time and acquired (from my Hero) a Microsoft Office Pro 2007 at a rock bottom low price. Not sure how old my computer is, but it’s running slow, the DVD doesn’t work…
(I’m also running an ‘inauthentic’ version of office on my computer)
Bad Christian! Shh, don’t tell anyone.
Back to the computer, I really don’t know what I can do for it, done all the maintenance stuff on it and am thinking of reformatting….
Then Saturday we are off to Ikea for a bed frame and the Boeing surplus store.
Hubby works at Boeing and the surplus store rocks! Like a huge thrift store, maybe I could even get a computer there.
Anyway, what are you guys doing this weekend? Anything fabulous?
God’s Peace to you and yours this weekend, Enjoy!
Oh get this, I catch my boy yesterday, writing a note to a girl with this scripture on it!
Songs of Solomon 7
7 Your stature is like that of the palm,
and your breasts like clusters of fruit.
8 I said, “I will climb the palm tree;
I will take hold of its fruit.”
May your breasts be like the clusters of the vine,
the fragrance of your breath like apples,
It seems my boy was looking up ‘beauty’ in the concordance, like a good little bible study boy, and found this and started a note with it.
His teacher was making a point in class one day, if the boys had to hide the relationship with their parents, or didn’t tell them if they liked someone, then it probably wasn’t a good thing. I’m paraphrasing here.
So now that my boy’s mother and this girl’s mother know they like each other and they write notes to each other BUT nothing innappropriate is going on, they feel free to write on and hang out at lunch.
(but cannot date until 32 and 35 years old respectively) 🙂
Back to the scripture, I explained to my little boy that while looking up words and quoting scripture was fine and all, he should probably read Solomons song IN CONTEXT, to really know what is being said there.
Well, he kinda got grossed out when he looked at some of it and found out the background.
See, he was grossed out, another good reason why dating should not occur until he is 35.
So, scripture got ripped up and teacher got an e-mail today from my son’s mom. I asked her if she would just like to rip my heart out now instead of giving speeches to teenage boys. I have yet to hear back from her (Don’t worry, we’re friends, I heard she laughed when she read it) 🙂
